Here at PCG Solutions, we continuously think of ways to enhance Viedoc and simplify clinical research. This means that we’re constantly developing new features and strive to present them in an engaging layout, making the workflow smoother and the user experience more enjoyable.
Apart from working with an EDC system that is easy to use, another key element to all successful clinical trials is information security and data integrity. These areas are integrated in our quality management system and have always been at the heart of the Viedoc platform. Now, to further strengthen the stability, availability and security of Viedoc, we decided to formally standardize our information security. That’s why we are taking steps to become certified by the globally recognized standard ISO/IEC 27001.
ISO/IEC 27001 is developed and published by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) and is a standardized management system for information security (ISMS). For you, this means that your research will be secured in an EDC system that follows a globally recognized framework for best-practice information security management.
As part of the certification process, we recently celebrated a successful migration to Microsoft Azure, which is at the forefront of global cloud-computing development, and also certified in ISO/IEC 27001. Further steps will be taken to complete the process, which is to be finished early next year. Stay tuned…
