Security alert! At Viedoc, we pride ourselves on providing top-level security to our users. Two-factor authentication (2FA) has been available in Viedoc on account level since the beginning of 2018. Even so, surprisingly few users have this extra level of security enabled.

Why choose two-factor authentication?

Two-factor authentication provides an added security layer to your Viedoc account by requiring an extra step during the login process. When two-factor authentication is enabled, a unique code is sent to you via text message or email. Two-factor authentication is triggered whenever you log in, including any time a new device or browser is used to access your account. You'll be required to enter the unique code to access your account as long as two-factor authentication is enabled on your account. Optionally, you can select your device to be considered safe and trusted. In that case, you won't be asked again for the authentication code for the next 30 days when logging in with the same username from the same device using the same browser, unless the browser session is in private mode or the cookies are cleared.

How To Set Up Two-Factor Authentication For Your Account

Set-up is easy! Just a few steps and you'll be all set:

  1. Go to user settings and click on security settings.
  2. Scroll down to Two-Factor Authentication. Choose to use 2FA always or only if any of your studies require it. Choose the preferred method of receiving the authentication code.
  3. The next time you log in, you will be prompted to enter an authentication code sent to you via the preferred method you have selected.

Stay safe and continue enjoying your trial!
