Uppsala, May 13, 2025 – Viedoc Technologies, a provider of industry-leading software for clinical trials and electronic data capture, today announced that its board of directors has appointed Philip McCrea as chief executive officer. McCrea, a life sciences technology and services veteran, succeeds Mats Klaar, who will continue to support the company in his new role as a member of the board of directors.
McCrea has been active in multiple facets of the life sciences industry throughout his career. Most recently at Red Nucleus he led the global medical communications business through a period of unprecedented profitable growth and including the integration of four acquired businesses. Previously, he was board chair at digital health startup Genia in the patient support systems segment, CEO at ClearPoint in the life sciences education segment, and CEO at New York / San Franciso -based Vitesse Learning in the pharma-focused digital learning market. “As a growth-oriented entrepreneur and leader,” McCrea stated, ”I am excited to join Viedoc at a time when the company is poised to expand into new geographies and accelerate its global growth.”
