Viedoc's entrepreneurial journey started two decades ago in Uppsala, Sweden. Originally established as a small Contract Research Organization (CRO), the founders soon recognized the inadequacies of existing Electronic Data Capture (EDC) solutions in the market—and decided to do something about it.
Driven by their vision to create an intuitive and efficient system, they embarked on the mission to develop their own cloud-based EDC software. Their passion for software development led to Viedoc's transition into a technology-focused company in 2018.
Since then, the company has gone from strength to strength—with over 140,000 users powering over 5,000 trials across 75 countries and 30,000 sites. The reason for this success is, in part, our dedication to usability and developing a diverse in-house team.

With a growing, diverse team of over 120 employees, he oversees a company that embraces change while keeping people at the forefront of its mission.
Our diversity sets Viedoc apart, according to Mats, during its nearly 50% YoY growth in the last 3-4 years. “We take a people-first approach to our every step,” says Mats, “and we know the difference we make in the world goes beyond the product: It’s the people making the difference. So that is everything. It’s the essence of the company, the product, and everything we do.”

From small-scale sites to large-scale remote trials conducted amidst the rainforests of Brazil, our journey has enriched our global perspective.

With a large number of new customers in the last two years, this international approach strengthens Viedoc and drives innovation in the clinical trials industry. Nowhere is this more evident than in the consistent recognition Viedoc receives as a leader from peer-to-peer review sites like G2 and Capterra.
