It is a structured, advisory review of a study design built in Viedoc. An experienced Viedoc Product Specialist assesses your design against Viedoc best practices and provides documented observations and recommendations in a Design Evaluation Report. Your team does the building and stays in control. Viedoc reviews, advises, and recommends.

Sponsor or CRO teams with certified study design representatives who build their own studies in Viedoc. It is especially valuable for teams building their first study after certification, and for organizations that want more consistent, higher-quality designs across teams and studies. The service is engaged at the company or team level, not as an individual product.

The service is advisory and scoped to your Viedoc study design. It does not include protocol review, operational compliance review, study build work, implementation of recommendations, mid-study change review, additional feature setup review, or troubleshooting. A custom report can only use data that exists within the scope of the current study and the user's role. It draws on CRF and operational data, such as queries and medical coding, along with study, site, and user information. Visibility is role-controlled, so you can create dedicated reports for different roles like Monitor, Project Manager, or Sponsor.

Custom report data refreshes on the daily data sync, the same as any other report in Viedoc Reports.

No. The review ends with clear recommendations, and implementation decisions rest with your team. That is intentional: you keep full ownership of your study and your build. If you would prefer Viedoc to handle build work, that is available separately through the Viedoc Study Build Service.

Yes. The service is designed for teams with certified study design representatives, so at least one person on your team should hold the Viedoc Study Build Certification. A newly certified team is in an ideal position to engage the service, since expert feedback on their first real build helps good habits take hold from the start.

Before go-live. The three review rounds are designed to follow your build as it progresses, so engaging early lets you address feedback while changes are still easy to make. A review of a complete or near-complete design ahead of go-live is also an ideal moment. Reviews of live studies are possible as retrospectives, where the recommendations help your team benchmark quality and start the next study stronger.

A Design Evaluation Report for each review round, with documented observations, categorized recommendations, and highlights from the review. It is a written deliverable your team can work through, reference during the rest of the build, and use when aligning best practices internally.

Each review round takes a minimum of three to five business days, provided the design and access are shared at least one week ahead of the agreed review window. You share your design either by providing the study ODM or by inviting the assigned Product Specialist to the study as a Designer. Viedoc coordinates the required access with you once the engagement starts.
